I am slack!
So what has happened in my world since I last wrote?
Well certainly not dating that's for sure!
I made the decision that "looking" for Mr Right wasn't working so I sidelined that and decided to work on me for awhile. If I meet someone then fabulous if I don't then I can always get a new pet.... so I got a new pet.
Dexter. My gorgeous, energetic, lovable yet destructive little Jack Russell cross Foxy is the light of my life right now. Being greeted by a little jumping bean who is attached to my side like velcro from the minute I come home is adorable. Its the kind of adoration that would freak me out coming from a boyfriend. Only a four legged little bundle of cuddles can get away with that much attention.
I am sure I will have lots of Dexter stories in the future. He provides me with laughs every day.
Sidenote : at least I didn't get another cat. I am determined not to get the crazy cat lady title for at least a few more years!
The main thing that has happened in the past six months is I have learnt to say yes. From someone who spent their life as a hermit too afraid to do anything that might make me happy, yes is a difficult word. So things I have said yes to?
Well a puppy obviously! Yoga classes,puppy preschool, Book club, theatre classes and drinks out with various friends. Saying yes is fun! Its amazing what saying yes can open doors to. New friends, laughter, resdicovering things I love and even exercise (something I never thought I would be excited about). I wish I said yes a lot sooner!
